Fruits and seeds were preserved for the winter food.
Wild apples were cut then dried before being stored. Uncountable pips were preserved in the layers of occupation.

The picking of fruit (apples, hazelnuts, sloe berries, blackberries, etc.) supplemented the growing of wheat (spelt and emmer), barley and poppies.
