The
pontoon installed above the excavation zone is the relay point between the deposit
and the land base; it is essential for the safety of the divers (in red in the
water). The zone is delimited by fixed triangles with 5m sides (visible in the
picture) that are necessary to identify the vestiges.
Subaquatic
excavations
The
excavation work is done bare-handedly,
without any instruments. All the sediments making up the occupation layers are
carefully collected and then placed in a bucket marked with the layer number
and the number of a small triangle with 1m sides, delimited by strings, in order
to correctly identify its origin in the deposit.
